After finding out about Aaliyah and Kidada's Japanese inspired clothing line to be known as DALIPOP and not as we've known it to be as 'Dolly Pop' we HAD to share this image in it's full entirety! Here is a rare image of both Aaliyah and Kidada Jones at the Anastasia Movie Premiere at the Lincoln Center in New York on November 9th 1997.

According to the trademark documents filled on July 23rd, 2001 by Dana I Enterprises, Inc. represented by famous music lawyer Brad D. Rose, Aaliyah had plans not only for a clothes line, but many other things down the pipe line such as sunglasses, make-up, jewelry, bags and other accessories! (Quite literally, our girl was in her bag! ????) Unfortunately however, just a month after requesting this trademark, Aaliyah passed away before it could come to fruition *sigh*. One thing is for certain though, Aaliyah was way ahead of her time in all aspects of her life, including business! A full on entrepreneur in the making! ????

A huge shout out to @favouritethingsbyazzizz for coming across the documentation, as this has changed so much to what we've always known as fans, so in honour of this new information it just felt right to share this image! Enjoy! ❤️

Do you remember the clothing line that Aaliyah and her best friend Kidada Jones were supposed to launch together According to the trademark documents filled on July 23, 2001 by Dana I Enterprises, Inc. represented by famou.jpg
