Repost via Christian Manon Page on FB: "I received a request from a group of Aaliyah’s fans asking me very nicely if I wouldn’t mind to share some of my memories of Aaliyah. So... here it is: I met Aaliyah late 2000 when we filmed the glam and horror cult movie QUEEN OF THE DAMNED for Warner Bros in Melbourne. I played Vampire Mael and she was, of course, the Queen. She was the most lovely, kind, and fun loving beautiful young woman. She proved herself being witty and very intelligent and remained modest. Her apparent lightness hid serious depths. She worked for very long hours between her lead role in the movie and music recording for her new album. She was extremely dedicated to both! Most gentle and graceful, she came to my caravan to give me this signed photo for my daughter Magali after my request. Beside Aaliyah who was lovely I also met Eric Forman her personal hair stylist who died with her in that fateful plane crash. He was a very warm, friendly and funny man and insisted to have his photo taken with me by Aaliyah to her great amusement... She saw the fun and humor in many situations and her joy was contagious. I also met Rachad, Aaliyah’s brother and silent shadow and was introduced by her to Michael their Dad as well as briefly to their Mum. Michael was so proud of her!.. During a day off filming I met Aaliyah with her Mum and Dad on Toorak road in South-Yarra a trendy Melbourne street. They all said Hi surprised to meet me in town out of my vampire’s gears and fangs and were very warm and welcoming. Michael told me : « The girls are going through stores for clothing and things... I'll wait here on this street bench. Wanna sit? »I sat with him, it was warm and sunny. We chatted for a while... I noticed he had old faded tattoos on his arms and some gold teeth! He looked great, really old school cool, strait from NY I thought. Michael said they were very lucky and so happy to have that wonderful daughter: « She is a Gem. Our bright star."

Thank you so much for sharing and to the fan who tagged us in the original source. It's moments like these where the original source is so important as we would of never come across this story of Christian Manon, having the opportunity to meet both Diane and Michael Haughton, as well as Eric Foreman (Aaliyah's glam squad team). Unfortunately we cannot remember the name of the person who tagged us via our old original page (before it got hacked ????). Again thank you once again! (????: Albert Watson)
