Today on what would have been her 47th birthday, I often wonder what direction Aaliyah's life would have taken, had she still been here today. The brand deals, movie roles, fragrance lines, clothing lines, music tours, interviews and interacting with her fans via social media (which she only ever got to do through a forum - the good old days! 😎🙌🏼) The list goes on and on and on for our One In A Million diamond in the rough.
22 years of her life dedicated to her craft and labour of love, still astounds me to this very day. In such a short period of time, Aaliyah was able to achieve groundbreaking achievements at a time before social media and AI were even a thing. She had it all from brains to beauty, class, style and it's only evident through her influence on the culture how much of an impact she had and STILL has to this very day. 🙏🏽💯
