I saw the new magazine of aaliyah at barns and noble today and yes I got it. I was excited to see and I looked at it turned out to be a very nice magazine they did for her cause I t s gonna be 20 yrs of her passing.
I love to see other fans collections! Over the years I've collected tons of Baby Girl stuff but right now I'm "forced" to keep them at my parents house (they are safe there in my old room and I dont have a place to keep them in my temporary apartment). Thank God I'm collecting since 2009 the times when you could get BabyGirl stuff in decent prices. My husband and I have plans to build the house and my dream is to have a special fan room where I'll will keep all my Aaliyah treasures with framed autographs and posters. Hopefully it will be soon ♥
Oh wow! That sounds amazing! You have to take pictures and share with us once it's all completed! Would love to see that! And honestly...prices have gone up even more so since the music re-release. Like before her CD's etc...were already rare and hard to come by, but now...they are so much more valuable to the point where people are charging a fortune! Makes you appreciate and feel graetful for what you do have 🙏🏽❤️

Few days ago I ordered this gorgeous Hamish Brown contact sheet!! I was thinking about this purchase since it came out cause that's a lot of money... Anyway love for Aaliyah wins as always! haha ♥ Can't wait to have it and frame it in some special way.

I wish I had got it before, but I ended up getting his cheaper ones in a smaller size instead. Have you checked out his merch that he has recently put up on his website? What do you think of them?
Oh yes I saw them all! Well, when it comes to t-shirts they're okay. My favorite official merch with clothes was Urban Essence Apparel by Frances who run AaliyahAlways. It was all straight from heart and you felt her love and passion for Aaliyah through all designs. It was great quality and fantastic projects! Thankfully I was albe to get something when it was on sale ♥ In my opinion this line was THE BEST! Regarding pictures all are perfect because it's Aaliyah's iconic photoshoot which showcases all of her sides: sexy, mysterious, feminine & elegant, but the prices are very high..specifically this beautiful contact sheet we'are talking about. Maybe one day I'll buy it, we will see ♥
100% agree with you on that! I miss the old merch that Frances (a.k.a- Aaliyah Always) made (who by the way is also an affialite of ours). I had bought so many merch from her, and even had one which was gifted for free! I was like wow...who does that? 😩 She's such a kind hearted person. Will never forget that. The attention to detail and shear love she had just spoke through each piece. Unfortunately I know why it's no longer running, which is a shame because as usual the authoritative powers higher up just wanna be greedy and make a quick buck 🤦🏽♀️. Yet when fans come together, we always do things from the heart. I just wish it wasn't always like that you know?

The fans are so grateful at the amount you even shared. It's more so than any other photographer I can remember! Lol! Hands down Albert Watson and Hamish Brown are slowly becoming my new fave photographers with the amount that they've shared in a short space of time! 😎
Wow, really? Huge respect for Mr Brown. Also what is worth paying attention to is the fact the pictures he put on sale have very good prices, and it comes with COA! I'm also grateful for everything he shared lately and when I read he was worried he did not share enough I was like "whaaat?!". It's great he's so modest and respects Aaliyah fans so much. I really, really appreciate that! I agree him & Albert Watson did so much last year when it comes to Aaliyah. They gave us so much just for free.
Sad hearing it was actually not Fran's decision of finishing Urbanessence Apparel :( she was really the best out there. Now all we get are just simple t-shirts with poor quality photo stuck... My friend bought this t-shirt with Aaliyah from H&M, she washed it ones as described and the photo got washed out!
Yes! I was just like wow...he went above and beyond just for the fans! 😩 Gotta love that! ❤️ And exactly! I feel like some people think us Aaliyah fans are just made of money or something! 💀 lol They need to realise that a lot of fans out there nowadays are a lot younger too. Older fans may be able to afford certain things, but what about younger fans? They really need to keep a balance and just listen to what the fans want, cuz we ain't gonna be accepting no mediocre, basic stuff! 🤦🏽♀️
And yeah unfortunately it's a lot of stuff behind the scenes (for legal reasons I cannot say publically) which has been handled very poorly and maliciously 😒 And wow...are you serious? That's so bad! I swear the workmanship and quality of products is not the same anymore. I still own clothes from the 90's and 2000's and they still look brand new! 🤣 lol Craziness!
It's really tough time for the fans, especially those activly collecting. I remember my first Aaliyah autograph, it was Romeo Must Die soundtrack, and Aaliyah signed it with words "Peace Always Aaliyah" it was around 2010, and some fan got it from BBC1 radio contest (back in 2000), Aaliyah signed few copies during her visit in London while promoting the movie. This fan listed this CD along with a lot of BabyGirl CD singles and book by Christopher John Farley "More Than a Woman". Auction started at 1 pound and you know for how much I won it??? 22 pounds!!! It was crazy and that feeling of getting her real signature! This item means the world to me ♥ Now, because of her music coming back, people want to make money off of her name and when the signed legit stuff is showing up it costs over thousands of dollars! And yeah her autograph is priceless but it saddens me that items like that became unreachable to me... One of my other biggest collectors dream was getting Aaliyah RIAA plaques which back in the day cost around 300-500 dollars. Now, even if something will show up the price will be out of space, thats why I decided to invest in something beautiful but still doesn't cost "millions." Its Aaliyah's platinum plaque to commemorate over 1, 000 000 sales worldwide! The company that makes them i guess have a licence or something like that I guess because it comes with COA. As my 32nd Birthday are coming this month I decided this will be a perfect gift to myslef ♥ I'm in love with it! Attaching the pic below ♥
