That's the one video I find hard to watch since that was where her life transcended 😢However...it's such a beautiful video, and I love how she embraced her Jamaican heritage ❤️

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but a few days ago I discovered that Paramount Plus is currently streaming some episodes of MTV Diary. They haven't uploaded Aaliyah's Diary yet, but they might do it soon. I wasn't able to sign up because they only accept payments from US residents at the moment, but I was wondering if someone living in the US could keep an eye on it. I've kind of lost faith in MTV releasing Aaliyah's specials in HD quality (Diary, Stripped, etc), they've only released a couple of segments here and there over the past 20 years, but not a complete special in great quality. It would be great if we finally managed to see her MTV Diary in decent quality!
I think since the thread is about videos it's appropriate to post! 😉 But wow really? I didn't know that! I wish MTV would release more footage in it's full entirety as recently, they have posted a lot of HQ snippets of Aaliyah from her MTV Diary. They're literally sitting on a goldmind and stay teasing us! lol I am grateful that they have shared some stuff, as a lot of other people just gatekeep for themselves. As an Aaliyah fan it's frustrating, we barely get anything as it is 😩 Will definitely keep an eye out and ask some of our US fans just incase it does come about. At the moment you can watch Aaliyah's MTV Diary on our video gallery section. Granted it's not the best quality, but at least it's something! 😊👍🏽
In case anyone wasn't aware, Netflix has a documentary about R.Kelly it features Aaliyah in the first episode about 25 minutes into the video. It includes clips from interviews, music videos and other footage.
Is it that Surviving one or something else? I honestly tend to avoid anything attached to that man's name as that's what majority of people associate Aaliyah with. 20 years on and people still like to throw slander on her name when it comes to that man. I'd much rather remember Aaliyah in a positive light 🙏🏽❤️

I just came across this HD trailer which was posted on Aaliyah's official YouTube page about an hour ago, announcing the release of her MTV Diary in HD soon! I'm not sure if the channel is ran by Aaliyah's Estate or Blackground, but either way, I think it's really exciting news! Maybe they'll post other stuff in HD too, like her MTV Stripped interview and other exclusives... we can only hope!
I can't believe today marks the 20th anniversary of Aaliyah's passing, if there's any proof that time indeed flies, it's this one because it really feels like the disaster happened yesterday. Aaliyah is ever so relevant and it's amazing that she is getting so much love from online magazine coverages to exclusive interviews uploaded by ET and other news outlets... The Hamish Brown exclusive photos released through sctr.co.uk are so amazing, Aaliyah Archives thank you SO much for collaborating with them and bringing this project to life!! Hopefully we will see more unreleased exclusives from Hamish Brown, but also Jonathan Mannion and Albert Watson.
Anyway, I want to wish everyone a peaceful and calm day, let's all cherish Aaliyah's gifts to us and her everlasting memory.
Hi Stassa! Thank you for sharing with the community! I hope they will share the full footage in HQ, as its been so long since we've had it. I did notice some of the audio from the trailer was taken out due to copyright, so hopefully that can be resolved. The Aaliyah YouTube channel that posted it was originally run by a fan. The estate and the family didn't even have an official YouTube page for her to begin with. Later on, the fan confirmed how it was not run by the estate or family, but later on handed the channel over to them, so now it seems the family and estate have control of the channel. (Better late than never I guess lol)
And agreed, honestly 20 years just flies by so quickly that you really think wow...Where did the time go?! I am so happy and grateful for her music to finally be available to a younger generation who can get to learn, love and enjoy Aaliyah's music, just as much as we did growing up during that time. It's beautiful to see all the amazing love, homage and attention she's been getting (and rightly so, because she deserves it!) And no problem! I wanted to do something special for the fans, and Hamish Brown bless his heart was so kind enough to do this for everyone. He is such lovely person, and one who is not selfish to share his work with the fans.

Honestly? Kill me, but I truly love them all!! However if I had to choose I would say Back & Forth because that was the song that made me fall in love with Aaliyah and that video is just great! Second, is One in a Million the video and the song is timeless, ahead of her time and that dance routine when Aaliyah is all in white is just too awesome! Third place goes to More Than a Woman - the choreography, outfits just great! ♥

I cant decide because all of Aaliyah's videos are so good . It's a pretty hard decision to make but if i had to choose I would go for Try Again. I love her moves in this music video.
